The Village of Homer Glen was notified on April 5th that the Illinois Department of Agriculture will begin spraying for Gypsy Moths in Homer Glen the week of April 23, 2012. Spraying is being done 30 to 45 days earlier than a typical year because of the warm weather.
The product that the State will be using is Foray 48B, reported by the State to be organic certified and has been used for over 30 years. View a map of the area to be sprayed in Homer Glen (PDF).
