CARDS FOR SENIORS - Village of Homer Glen ask residents to spread cheer to Homer Glen Seniors
During these difficult times, our senior citizens can become lonely and isolated. Schoolchildren of all ages can make them feel a little less anxious by sending cards and art to show how important they are to our community. This is a great way for the kids to send a safe hug.
The Village of Homer Glen is encouraging residents to create one-of-a-kind art and cards with messages of hope, love, and encouragement for the residents of Marian Village and Victorian Village.
Marian Village and Victorian Village understand the importance of fostering the emotional well-being of our seniors during this time. Both communities approve of this program and are extremely grateful that the residents of Homer Glen are remembering those in need.
Cards and art can be dropped in a secure drop box located outside the main entrance to Village Hall, 14240 W. 151st St., now through March 30, 2020. Items collected will be distributed by Trustees Keith Gray and Beth Rodgers.
Please show your Homer Spirit and send well wishes to Homer Glen seniors. This is a great project for all our E-Learning students at home!
