Development Services Department

The Development Services Department serves as the primary engineering contact for the Village's engineering issues.

Services

This Department reviews and approves all plans and specifications submitted by developers, contractors and engineers to ensure compliance with established drainage and grading requirements, conformance with codes and regulations and applicability for permits.

Report Issues

All issues related to storm water/drainage, street light maintenance and the Village's bike trail system should be reported to the Village.

If you have questions or concerns regarding floodplains or flood zones, please reach out to the Village Engineer who is the Floodplain Administrator for the Village. You may also contact the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) directly or visit their website at FEMA for more information.

Transportation Plan

The Village is currently in the process of updating its Transportation Plan which will provide a comprehensive analysis of current and future transportation related elements throughout Homer Glen. As part of the update, a master plan for pedestrian and bicycle paths will be developed and the Village is opening this master plan to the public for input! Follow the link below to provide input and recommendations on where you would like to see future bike paths and pedestrian trails in the Village. The website utilizes an interactive map or survey to gather data.
