Holiday string lights can be recycled at the Village Hall, 14240 W. 151st Street throughout the month of January. Mini-lights, extension cords, rope lights and LED lights can be placed in the collection box located in the lobby during Village office hours, M-F, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Natural Christmas trees may be recycled by dropping them off at the Homer Township Highway Department, 14400 W. 151st Street, through January 8. For regular disposal, natural Christmas trees may be placed at the curb on your regularly scheduled waste pickup day.
Wrapping paper and greeting cards can be placed in your recycling bin. Please note that shiny “foil” type wrapping paper cannot be recycled.
