Beginning on August 3rd, the Will County Department of Transportation will be resurfacing the Bell Road bridge across Long Run Creek. The project will involve the resurfacing of the bridge deck and adjoining pavement, for the bridge across Long Run Creek on Bell Road. The limits of the project will extend from Glengary Drive (Menards traffic signal) to the Will County/Cook County border (approximately 135th Street). The work is scheduled to begin on August 3rd, and is expected to be completed by October 9 (per the contract), barring any issues found with the bridge during the planned work. During the construction, there will be a temporary signal installed at the bridge, which will cut the traffic to one single shared lane. However, the road is not planned to be completely closed at any time. The contractor that will be performing the work is D Construction.
Traffic will be affected during the construction, so please plan to use alternate routes during this time.
