Snow Event update from the Road District
Homer Township has experienced an estimated 8 inches of snow. Snow will continue to fall throughout the day, with an estimated 3 inches of additional snow. Road District crews have completed one pass through the area. They will continue to plow through the morning. Please remember that our crews are required to take mandatory rests as required by DOT regulations. Residents will continue to see snow plows throughout the day and evening. With the current winds and type of snow (heavy and wet), driveway approaches will be snowed in, with each pass of the plows. This is unavoidable. Due to the length of this snow event, clean-up efforts will be focused on for Monday. Today, the goal is to keep roads passable and to stay on top of additional accumulation. Your support and patience is appreciated. Our crews are doing their very best to keep us open and safe!
