On Thursday, October 1st, the future Village Hall Park (former Woodbine property) 14240 W. 151st, will be open to the public for passive recreation, from dawn to dusk. Enter the park on the South side of the property, just East of the future Village Hall building.
The park will feature a stone trail that is over one mile in length as well as a picnic grove. This park is for passive recreation only (i.e. walking, jogging, flying a kite, etc.). Village of Homer Glen Park Rules
1.) Enjoy this park! The park has been opened for your passive recreation enjoyment!
2.) The park is open from dawn to dusk.
3.) Dogs must be on a leash and under control, at all times. Please clean up after your dog.
4.) No golfing.
5.) No smoking on park property.
6.) No alcoholic beverages shall be sold, possessed, given away, delivered or consumed on park property, except pursuant to authorization by the Mayor and Village Board.
7.) No weapons or explosives are allowed on park property. Fireworks are allowed only pursuant to authorization by the Mayor and Village Board.
8.) No operating or driving any unauthorized motorized vehicle of any kind in or on park property in places other than roadways or paved parking lots.
9.) No cutting, breaking, damaging, defacing, destroying or altering any Village owned park property.
10.) No dumping or littering.
11.) No person shall commit a violation of local, state or federal laws or regulations while on park property. Any person who violates any provision of any section of the Village’s Comprehensive Park Rules and Regulations shall be subject to a fine of not less than $50.00 and not more than $1,000.00.
