Representatives from the Illinois State Treasurer’s office, ICash program, will be at the Village Hall on Friday, February 3, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Visitors can stop by to check and see if they have unclaimed property. The treasurer’s office is safeguarding more than $2 billion in unclaimed property belonging to millions of Illinois residents. The State holds these funds until they are claimed by either the original owner or their heirs. One in four Illinois adults discovers property to claim. The average paid claim is $2,900. Property is returned at no cost with the proper identification.
