Lieutenant Governor Evelyn Sanguinetti visited Village Hall on Thursday, April 13 to recognize the Village of Homer Glen and several intergovernmental partners for their ongoing efforts to promote shared services and cooperation among local units of government. Since incorporation, the Homer Township Road District has served as the Village's public works department. This joint effort between the Village and Township is one of 27 examples cited in the 2016 Journal of Local Government Shared Service Best Practices, published by the Lieutenant Governor's office.
