Beginning in the month of August 2017, Illinois American Water will be cleaning its wastewater collection mains in the Homer Glen service area. This cleaning is scheduled to continue through the summer. This cleaning will not affect your wastewater service.

Cleaning the wastewater collection system entails sending a rapid flow of water from a cleaning nozzle through the wastewater mains. The water scours the inside of the main loosening and removing any debris. This routine maintenance helps to prevent blockages and backups.
