Through the month of January, a box will be located inside the lobby of the Village Hall for collecting holiday lights for recycling. Mini-lights, extension cords, rope lights and LED lights will be accepted. Lights can be in working or non-working condition.
Natural Christmas trees may be disposed of by placing the tree at the curb on your regularly scheduled waste pickup day or dropping the tree off at the Homer Township Road District, 14400 W. 151st Street. All ornaments and lights need to be removed before recycling your tree.
