They will be paving Chickasaw Hills tomorrow (Saturday 9/7). You will be able to access your driveway throughout the day except temporarily when the paving equipment is right in front of your house. They should have all the gravel covered with a binder course of asphalt by mid to late afternoon. The vibrating rollers should be around a little longer to get the proper compaction of the asphalt while it cools. This should make a big difference when accessing your driveways. The sewers will remain barricaded until next week when they adjust them to the proper height.
The final layer of asphalt will be applied once the rest of Catawba and Shoshoni has the asphalt removed and replaced with a binder. That may happen as soon as late next week.
We expect a very nice outcome for the residents once this project is complete so for best results please make sure no vehicles are in the way of the equipment as workers make their way down your street.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
Mike De Vivo, Homer Township Road Commissioner
