Mayor Yukich and the Village Board of Trustees are proactively responding to the COVID-19 outbreak with a proposed program to financially assist small businesses to Keep the Lights On. The proposed program would provide financial assistance to eligible independently-owned businesses in Homer Glen to help them survive current disruptions to their businesses. Under the proposed guidelines, up to a $10,000 line of credit would be available to eligible businesses. The loans will be offered at zero percent (0%) interest. The Mayor and Board of Trustees will review and consider the assistance program at the Village Board meeting scheduled for next Wednesday, March 25.
The Village is using eblasts, social media, news alerts and postings on its website to provide guidance and resources to residents and business owners regarding the COVID-19 response.
