July 2025 - Plastic Free July Competition
The Village of Homer Glen’s Environment Committee wants to challenge our community members to participate in the worldwide Plastic Free July movement and be part of the solution to the plastic problem. For the month of July 2025, check out the Environment Committee website and Village of Homer Glen social media for tips and tricks to reducing your plastic consumption and waste.

Submit your Plastic Free July ideas and photos to tudarbe@homerglenil.org or tag us on social media for a chance to win 1 of 3 gift certificates to local restaurants.

Following your email submission or social media post, please complete this form by August 1, 2025 to enter into our raffle. You may enter a maximum of 5 submissions. You must be a resident of the Village of Homer Glen or unincorporated Homer Township.

The Plastic Free July campaign is a worldwide initiative to raise awareness of our growing plastic waste problem. Millions of people as individuals, schools, communities and companies from 177 countries take part in the challenge each year. The goal is to reduce plastic waste.
