Yes, contractors are required to register directly with the Village of Homer Glen. They are not required to register with Will County. You can download and mail the registration form, or bring it to our office in person.

No. A permit is not required for self-installed security systems. Residents should contact Police and Fire Departments to connect their systems.

No. A permit is not needed to have a garage sale. Garage sale signs should go up no sooner than a day before and taken down right after the sale.

Yes. A burn permit is required to burn leaves. The permit is free and is valid for one year. Burn permits can be obtained from the Building Department at Village Hall.

A representative of the neighborhood must complete and sign a Block Party Permit Request. Completed block party requests must be submitted at least 7 days prior to the scheduled event and must be approved by the Village prior to the event.
