159th Street to 151st Street – Substantial completion is now anticipated by the end of May of 2026.
- DETOUR NOTICE - Traffic has been placed into Stage 4 to facilitate work on the center median. Please stay tuned for additional traffic updates as the project moves into its final phases.
- PROGRESS UPDATE - Pavement removal is scheduled to begin March 30th. Final paving is anticipated to take place the first week of April. Work on permanent traffic signals, sidewalk and final landscaping is ongoing.
143rd Street and Bell Road Intersection – Utility relocations and construction ongoing. This project is anticipated to be completed in November of 2027.
- DETOUR NOTICE - Stage 1 traffic shift for 143rd Street will take place later this year (2026).
- PROGRESS UPDATE: Storm sewer installation will continue working south from Menards/Firestone. Storm sewer installation on 143rd Street will take place under daily lane closures and will begin once the Bell Road storm sewer installation is complete.

159th Street to 151st Street – Construction is ongoing. The project has been delayed due to additional utility relocations. Substantial completion is anticipated by the end of November of 2025.

143rd Street and Bell Road Intersection – Utility relocations and construction is ongoing. This project is anticipated to be completed in November of 2027.
- DETOUR NOTICE - Stage 1 traffic shift for 143rd Street will be pushed to next year. Most storm sewer work can be completed under daily lane closures.
- PROGRESS UPDATE: Removals have been completed for Bell Road Stage 1. The contractor will continue storm sewer installation within the Bell Road Stage 1 work zone. All temporary driveways along the west side of Bell Road will be paved with temporary asphalt for the duration of Stage 1.

143rd Street and Bell Road Intersection – Utility relocations and construction is ongoing. This project is anticipated to be completed in November of 2027.
- DETOUR NOTICE: Stage 1 traffic shift is tentatively scheduled for Monday, October 20th, 2025. The new traffic configuration will shift traffic to the east side of Bell Road and the south side of 143rd Street. Traffic will be reduced to a single lane of travel in either direction. Traffic will be shifted into the stage 1 configuration for both Bell Road and 143rd Street. As part of the traffic shift, the existing signal at the entrance to Jewel off of 143rd Street will be removed and replaced with a right-in, right-out configuration.
- PROGRESS UPDATE: Contractors are working to install temporary traffic signals and prep for Stage 1 traffic shift. Temporary pavement operations along 143rd Street and Bell Road are underway.

- PROGRESS UPDATE - Noise wall foundation work has been completed. Wall columns and panel erection will tentatively begin next week. Aggregate subgrade work is ongoing, underdrain installation and aggregate capping is anticipated next week. Curb and gutter work to follow.
Bell Road (CH 16) – 159th Street to 151st Street Section: 99-00147-07-FP Contractor: “D” Construction, Inc. Project Scope: Pavement reconstruction and widening with realignment Contract Completion Date: 7/30/25 (plus 10 Working Days) At specific locations on the west side of Bell Road, various utility conflicts have been resolved in the field, or a plan is in place to avoid conflict during noise wall foundation drilling. Other roadway work includes excavation and hauling roadway aggregate for the base preparations on the west side of Bell Road.
Bell Road (CH 16) – at 143rd Street Section: 12-00147-11-CH Contractor: “D” Construction, Inc. Project Scope: Intersection widening and improvement with upgraded traffic signal Contract Completion Date: 11/5/27 (plus 15 Working Days) Most pre-stage work is being performed on the east side of Bell Road. Work has been underway at this time including placement of drainage structures. The temporary traffic signal installation is next to be installed.
